| Chiaksan Natural Forest Resort is located on an area across 167ha at Chilbangmakgol on the right side of Aeshin-bungyo prior to Garipa Hill (commonly known as Chiakjae), which is past Geumdae Resort on National Route 5 from Wonju to Jecheon. Though people may presume that it is located on Chiaksan (Mt.) because of its name, but this is located deep inside a rare valley called Chalbangmakgol near Baekwoonsan (Mt.) (right side mountain towards Jecheon). Around the forest resort are paths filled with fantastic rocks such as the Chilseong rock, Turtle rock and Lightning rock. Pass the hiking trail is a place with a great view where you can see all of Chiaksan (Mt.) from Namdaebong to Birobong. In order to complete the 7km trip to the summit of Baekwoonsan (Mt.), it’s a good idea to see how long it will take. It is complete with parking facilities, rest areas, observatories, picnic area, forest rest areas, fitness areas, cooking areas and outdoor classrooms.
